About Dr. Sudip Chatterjee
Dr Sudip Chatterjee passed his HS from St Xavier’s Collegiate School, winning the National Science Talent & the Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Scholarships. He completed his MBBS from Medical College, Bengal, and obtained the first rank in final MBBS in Calcutta University, and received seven University medals. Upon completion of his MD in General Medicine in 1984 from Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, & SSKM Hospital, Kolkata, he specialised in Endocrinology, starting with a brief stint as ad hoc Senior Resident in the Department of Endocrinology in AIIMS, New Delhi under Prof. MMS Ahuja. In 1985, He moved to Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, USA for a 2 year fellowship in Endocrinology, and thereafter was appointed the Research Registrar in the Endocrinology Unit of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, University of Newcastle upon Tyne Medical School, UK. His research work at the Royal Victoria Infirmary translated into development of better treatment options for Acromegaly and the work was published in The Lancet, a prestigious journal. He passed the MRCP UK in 1989 and obtained the Diploma of the National Board (India) in Endocrinology in 1993.
Park Clinic is the successor of Park Nursing Home. Written admission records of this Nursing Home date back to 1935, making it the oldest functioning private health facility in Eastern India. The present Clinic is a not-for-profit organisation, whose functioning is supervised by an elected Governing Body.
